I'm trying to setup DFS between a SBS 2011 server that's been in production for a while, and a new 2012 R2 server that's not in production yet.The SBS server is physically located in MN. The 2012 box will be going to NE soon, but is currently located in MN on the same network as the SBS server. There's a VPN between the two locations via FortiNet firewalls.I have the DFS role installed on both of the servers. Mostall of the information I want replicated is in d:shared on the SBS server.
Feb 2, 2012 - Hello, I have SBS 2011 and I am missing DFS management console - is this specific to SBS 2011? 'The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing.
The client computers in MN access this info (mostly) using mapped drives to sbs2011shared.What's the best way to go about enabling DFS so that the contents of d:shared get replicated to to the 2012 box. After the initial replication we'll move it down to NE and it'll connect across the VPN.
Both servers are domain controllers.
